రంగులు
ఆకాశ వీధిలో
అప్సరస ఎవ్వరో పరిగెడుతూన్నప్పుడు
రంగుల కలశం తొణికిందట..
నీలిరంగు సముద్రమంతా పరచుకుంటే..
నారింజ తో కలిసి పోయిన తెల్ల రంగు
ఎడారి ఇసుక మీద చేరి ఎండలో మెరిసింది
చెట్టొక్కటి పచ్చరంగుని జాగ్రత్తగా పొదివి పట్టుకుని
పచ్చికకింత పంటపొలానికి కొంతా పులిమి..
మిగిలినదంతా..ఆకుల కి పూసుకు మురిసి పోయిందట.
ఏ రంగూ దొరకని పువ్వులు ఏడుపు ముఖం పెట్టి చూస్తూంటే...
అప్సరస తన చేతివేళ్ళు రంగుల కలశం లోముంచితీసి
కొనవేళ్ళకంటిన రంగుని విరజిమ్మిందట...
రంగురంగుల పూలు..గాలికి తలలూచుతూ
నవ్వులు రువ్వుతూ..విర బూసాయట!

Colours
Along the avenues of the sky,
when a celestial nymph came racing by,
the vessel of colours she carried
tilted and trembled… and spilled.
Blue flowed out first,
spreading far and wide
like the boundless sea.
White, mingling with orange,
wandered across the desert sands
and glittered under the blazing sun.
A lonely tree gathered the green with care—
sharing a little with the grass,
a little with the ripening fields,
and with quiet delight
brushing the rest upon its leaves.
The flowers that found no colour
stood watching with tearful faces.
Then the nymph dipped her slender fingers
into the brimming bowl of hues
and scattered the colours
from her glowing fingertips.
And the flowers—
suddenly radiant in a thousand shades—
nodded to the wind,
laughing softly
as they burst into bloom.
